Premiering: Central Coast Trio Un-Ti’s Absolute Earworm ‘Stay’

13 million streams after their debut single Caught Up, we’re excited to show you another ‘slice’ for the first time from a Central Coast trio called Un-Ti.

Stay is just a really fucking good pop song.

It’s almost a power-ballad, almost a dance song, some really welcome Lauv & LANY influences and top-notch songwriting. Those drums really cut through, the synths are soaring and the vocals don’t go too far.

‘Stay’ explores the tension between two vastly different individuals attempting to build an intimate relationship. In the midst of multiple failures, only one retains the confidence both began with and so goes persuading the other of the truth in being together by displaying an undying passion. In the end, they hope this is enough to have them realize that to stay is to not be subject to the firey emotions roused by love, but that it is instead to be resilient in pursuit of love.”

Meeting in music class early on in high school, Lachie and Ben from the group started by offering up their DJing skills at house parties and from there Ben slowly got into production and songwriting. Lachie was also doing a band thing with the other member Reid and then after high school they found a nice little musical melting pot and put the band together.

As I love to say, #CENTRALCOASTBRILLIANCE.
