Foxes’ First New Single Since 2016, ‘Love Not Loving You’, Is A Magic Pop Moment

Foxes was one of the gold-standard popstars coming out of the UK in the early to mid-’10s. From her first big hit Youth, to the piano-led belter Let Go For Tonight and 2015’s impeccable disco-pop song Body Talk. All proper brilliant pop moments that were among the upper tier of some of the great records out at the time from Betty Who, Carly Rae Jepsen, Little Boots, et al.

Four years have elapsed and Foxes has now got a new record deal happening and a new single and I’m extremely pleased to announce she is still exceptional.

Love Not Loving You speaks perfectly to the things you learn about yourself with a few years out of the ‘spotlight’ down your belt. The song is about finally being in love with yourself, “about not depending on anyone else from my own happiness and being able to stand on my own two feet,” Foxes reckons.

I’m sold.
